Tyrus Thomas. Cool name and i’ve never seen anyone jump like him. At worst he’d be in the slam dunk contest

Marcus Williams. That’s not going to happen, but it would be great. He is the only PG in the draft that’s a TRUE PG. He can easily help any team that drafts him.

They need a guard: Randy Foye. Otherwise, Rudy Gay would be good.

They already have Chris Bosh as a bulldog under the basket, so Andrea Bargnani would be a great pick. He is drawing comparisons to Dirk Nowitski, a versatile big man who can shoot the ball well. Bargnani would be the perfect complement to Bosh.

In my opinon Adam Morrison is the best out there. but the raptors will probely pick someone like Rudy Gay to trade.. they should get a good guard like Randy Foye. Andrea Bargnani could be the first pick because they need a big man like him to go with Chris Bosh and Charlie Villinueva.

Bryan Colangelo has reportedly narrowed it down to two guys. I’m guessing Andrea Bargnani and LaMarcus Aldridge.

With a frontline of Bosh, Villanueva, Kris Humphries and now Rasho Nesterovic, I’m not sure getting either of those guys is going to help much. They’d really like to move Bosh further away from having to play center, and I don’t see Aldridge as being a career center. Bargnani is drawing Dirk Nowitzki comparisons, but frankly other scouts say he looks more like a Vladimir Radmanovic/Hedo Turkoglu clones. Not terrible players, but hardly worthy of being number one picks. If I had the Raptors pick, I’d try to trade down to the third, fourth or fifth pick to see if I could get a veteran to go along with the rookie I took. Then I’d take either Brandon Roy or Adam Morrison if one was available. Ideally, I would like to swap picks with the Bobcats to get Brevin Knight and the third pick or with the Blazers to get Sebastian Telfair and the fourth pick. The Raptors are likely to lose Mike James (and they should. he’s not a true point guard) and Jose Calderon is not ready to run a team.

Morrison is a prolific scorer with great intensity. Right now the Raptors don’t have a guy who can consistently create his own shot on the perimeter. Brandon Roy would be a good fit because of his all around game and versatility. He could even help by playing some minutes at the point guard spot.

If I were Toronto and had the #1 pick I would select Sheldon Williams from Duke. The draft is so incredibly weak this year. There is no standout player. With Williams you have demonstrated experience at the college level. He’s a very good defender who will haul down his share of rebounds. And Blue Devil players are usually reliable picks. It’s a safe selection. And next years draft is already poised to be loaded with great talent.

Brandon Roy- although i’d rather see him go #2 to the Bulls.
