No it wasn’t bc of UConns ‘terrific’ defense. Bc if that was the case then Bulters was out of this world. They both shot horrible from the field. It was just a seriously boring game.
I remember watching this I didnt really care (Ohio State was my team) but I rooted for Butler since they were the underdogs. At half it all looked good to me but god damn that 2nd half was the worst half of basketball i ever witnessed
but they weren’t. face it, in the last 12 years, UConn has been the best mens basketball program: 3 national titles, 4 final fours. UK has none since UConn got their first in 1999.
2010 final was one of the best finals in a decade and then in 2011 the final was one of the worst in history. I cheered for butler in both championship games but watching the highlights now i’m kind of embarrased by butler and uconn’s performance horrible game for a national championship :/
You don’t know why fans would say a 53-41 national title game with both teams shooting horrendously is the worst finals ever? No one would be entertained by this awful display of basketball except UConn fans.
Nah. All four teams couldn’t hit crap in that building. Why the NCAA insists on playing basketball in a freaking football stadium is beyond me. The greedy bastards. They play the rest of the season and tournament in actual arenas so why do these greedy guys make teams play in humongous football stadium where the depth perception is abscent?
This was not a great game. Just because two teams miss a ton of shots doesn’t mean the defense was amazing nor entertaining. I bet you absolutely loved the Alabama/LSU games in football, didn;’t you?
